Green Energy Products, LLC - Wind Energy Solutions
According to the American Wind Energy Association (AWEA), a wind turbine has the potential to lower your electric bill 50-90%, depending on wind speed at the site, cost of the turbine, and the amount of electricity you use, among other factors.
It has been shown that over its life, a small residential wind turbine can “offset approximately 1.2 tons of air pollutants and 200 tons of greenhouse gases” such as carbon dioxide and other gases that cause climate change (AWEA).
Utility companies aren’t the only entity that offer credits. To view incentives for your state, please visit the Database of State Incentives for Renewables and Efficiency (DSIRE) at www.dsireusa.org.

FAQ
What is net-metering?
If your wind turbine produces more power than you use, it may run your meter backwards and feed power back to the utility. GEP encourages all property owners to discuss net-metering with their utility prior to installation.
What are the ordinance rules for installing a wind turbine?
Each city and county are different. All zoning permits and ordinances must be followed by the city and county offices prior to groundwork beginning.
How do I know a wind turbine is the best solution for me?
GEP is available for free consultations and site assessments to discuss whether or not wind or solar energy would be a good fit for your farm, household, or business.
